Holy Family Nights coming this Fall
Starting September 11, we will be hosting Holy Family Nights here at St. Gabriel. This is a night the whole family can be catechized. Fr. Kreidler will have faith formation nights for adults starting at 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Pre-School, EDGE for middle school students starting at 6:15 pm in the Activity Room, and we will offer an alternative new program from the Augustine Institute called "Word of Life" for youth ages pre-school through 5th grade that will also start at 6:15 pm in the school. This program addresses the needs in today's culture. Pickup from both EDGE and Word of Life is at 7:40 pm. For additional info and any questions, please contact Diane Pickert, Director of Family Life & Youth at 816-453-1183, ext. 205 or email [email protected]
Holy Family Nights are geared to educate the whole family in a mentality of faith in keeping with the Gospel. The presentations on these nights will be age-appropriate, meaningful, practical, and intelligible for parents and students. Our goal is to engage human reason to explore at all ages and learn the timeless truths of the faith. We hope to foster ongoing conversations at home with our families. These nights are geared to teach facts about the faith, but also to know the why of the faith and how to live it out.
We invite all families to join us. High School students are welcome to join in the adult faith formation or volunteer for Edge or the Word of Life Program. Please contact Diane at 816-453-1183, ext. 205 or email [email protected] to volunteer.
